Custom tours are unique, and so it follows the way we work with you maybe a little different from what you have been used to. Below is an outline of our booking process followed by pricing information.
Booking Process
The best way to get started is to click on the "contact us" button and fill out the online form. We will endeavor to get back to you within 2 days, via your indicated contact preference. From there the process is as follows:
- We will send you our full terms and conditions and an exploratory questionnaire. The questionnaire provides us with a guide as to how you and your party like to spend your vacation time.
- On receiving your questionnaire we will provide you with a base quote for your tour. Please note that the base price is only an estimate based on an outline itinerary.
- If you decide to proceed, there is a fee of $500 for research, preparing quotations, and locating travel options for your custom escorted tour, payable in advance. Should you ultimately decide to book with Clootie Dumpling Tours or one of its partners, this fee is credited toward the cost of your tour.
- We will put forward suggestions for you to consider and if you would like - we will also try to meet with you in person at this time. We will then create a detailed, customized itinerary, which we will revise until you are completely happy.
- Your will recieve your itinerary and sales agreement detailing your final price. Payment will be due in full 3 weeks prior to your tour.
- On receipt of full payment, you will receive your booking confirmation.
Pricing Information
As we don't do pre-packaged tours it is impossible to put prices up on the site. As a rough guide to what a tour might cost, estimating from around $350 per day per person as part of a group of 5 people, staying in Bed & Breakfast, travelling only on the mainland, and not including airfares.
However, if you are flexible in some aspects of your tour, we can certainly try and meet your budget requirements. These are the main factors that influence tour price:
- Accomodation type
- Amout of people in your party
- Type of vehicle required
- Travel off of mainland to Islands
- Currency exchange rate
As soon as we recieve your payment we will not change your price based on exchange rate.
The following inclusions and exclusion apply:
Included:
- Airport transfers in Scotland
- Accommodation as requested
- Breakfast each morning
- Personal driver/guide throughout your tour
- All driver/guide expenses & accommodation
- All petrol costs, road tolls, parking etc
- All applicable taxes
- Booking service and advice about dining and entertainment
- Pre-Tour Advice about itineraries, dining, recommended sights etc.
- Pre-booking of dining, entry to popular events/attractions etc as requested.
Not Included:
- Air travel to and from Scotland unless requested
- Transfers to and from your home to airport in North America
- Travel Insurance
- Gratuities
- Meals other than Breakfast unless specified
